The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

As Pasty As They Wanna Be writes: Why on earth.....MOTHER?!!! [ 1997-12-28 - Photek ]
What on earth was he doing playing out the full 45 plus minutes of Goldies- Mother!?!

Its literally as if he forgot it was a 2 hr mix he was spposed to do so just slapped it on to kill time !
Which is a real shame!
Photek is a proper legend
And first part of this mix is really good...
Whilst Mother was maybe the lesser evil on the misconcieved adventure that was Saturn Returnz... this mix has to go down as fucking joke!

As Pasty As They Wanna Be writes: Goldie.....Back On form..well almost [ 2007-04-08 - Goldie ]
Ive only just listened to this and admitedly briefly.

First off -this was very much a showcase of forthcoming Rufige Kru material and forthcoming metalheadz releases

Some new tracks played here did sound like vintage old Metalheadz stuff -(-IE- a good thing!) and some of the new Rufige stuff should will be very good.
But as a mix -some stuff did sound pretty indifferent and to be honest fairly lacklsture..... music by numbers at times . Plus there was a couple of tracks in here that really irritated me to be honest.

A good enough mix (material wise certainly better than the likes of the dull clubland Pendulum etc..in my opinion) and some of it was genuinely "banging" but a bit of variety wouldn't have a gone a miss...

Decent stuff and although its still all quite dark and moody ..... it is a shame there isnt quite the same material about as say 10 years back tho.

I enjoyed this mix. It is in a very similar vein to his cocoon essential mix he did back in 2002. I can see why some people may not like it, but it really struck a chord with me. The best set from the essential mix WMC sets. Miles ahead of the first hour by one+one....

As Pasty As They Wanna Be writes: Rubbish [ 2007-01-07 - Mark Ronson ]
A rubbish "mix" from a proper rubbish "artist " / "producer".

Sort of adds up if up if you think about it.

Honestly...this was dull beyond comprehension,I know it was probably the first hour of a very long set though....so I have made allowances for that in my rating.

 mkw-pfc writes: ok [ 1999-12-19 - Jim Masters ]
this mix was alright but he promised 15 years worth of techno cant remember hearing anything prior to enery flash - anyway the mix itself was alright at best really but it seemed a bit short of funky housey techno & more slanted towards the panel beating stuff - something nearer to stacey pullens effort would have suited me

This is bloody awful and I'm not proghouse trance fan out of his depth here. Freddy Fresh, Krafty Kuts, Si Begg, Coldcut all piss over this filth. Whoever said studuent union's fav turntablist couldn't be more right. As for the tv theme tuns if you want to see hows its done check here.

Easily a 10 rating. This sets the standard.

Also check out his BTTB mixes. Heres a oldschool page of reviews.

What I mean by that is the Adam Beyer track is the one marked as "unknown".

There is a track on the mix between these which isn't listed.

Tracklisting is wrong,
the last two tunes aren't broadcast and there is a track after Bad Clock before the Unknown - Unknown, which is Adam Beyer - Stereotypes.

madgoose writes: better than what?? [ 1996-04-28 - Goldie ]
saying that bukem does it better is a pointless remark. they mix different styles of jungle (and yes, i do mean jungle, not drum & bass, DNB, whatever the fcuk u may think it's called). its a bit like saying that heston blumenthal is a better chef than gordon ramsay. they are both professionals and it depends on your personal taste...

back to the goldie mix tho - its like the title of his 1995 album - Timeless
