you are spot on my friend - this track is a wonderful piece of music - so simple yet so beautiful - such a crisp beat why doesn't he make this music anymore |

Hey guys, does anyone know what the first track that Scott plays (right after Tongy intro's him) is called?
Its the one with the vocals that go "Look at all the people". I don't thing its included in the Tracklist. Its driving me mad, such a great song yet I can't find it anywhere!
Any help would be fantastic. Thanks |

Some heavy, heavy chicago jacking choons. This mix is still better than most of his later EM's. Quality!! |

a year or so down the road, and whilst i dont wish to rescind my previous comment, on a revisit to the mix, it is certainly one of the stronger mixes from a somewhat lacklustre year. if you havent got it, get it. if you have got it, give it another blast. |

Goldie did his mix in April '96 and Tong said at the end that it would keep Grooverider on his toes. Fast forward 8-9 months or so and it sounds like, to me, that 'Rider has not only blown Goldie away but reaffirms his standing in dance music as a whole. Numero Uno. Dub influenced D+B, hard step they are all here. The mixing is top notch, track selection superb. Dis is da real Don Dadda!!! |

A welcome change from the usual four to the floor beats. Eclectic and fresh sounding at the time, a thoroughy enjoyable mix! |

What a mix!!! A real history of how we have the genres Hip-Hop and Breakbeat. Definetly in my top ten of EM's. A pleasure to behold!! |

Missed the first half an hour of this epic mix, the second part of this mix up to and including "Phylyps" is in my opinion the greatest acid and techno ever showcased on the EM. Brilliant!! |

An enjoyable mix: N.O.H.A's Start big choon. I guess the 5 mins or so of actual D+B during Mother makes up for the rest of the mix, just. |

Tight mixing, first half hour some meaty, beaty, big and bouncy choons. Then, some fine mellow and vocal house the perfect antidote to the fine techno around at the time. Excelllent! |

House music's logical progression. Selection superb, would have given a 10 but for the dodgy mixing near the end of this otherwise, standard mate, standard!! |

This is one mix that still sounds fresh and relevant today as it was back then. UK Hip Hop, Dub, Bhangra, D+B. Excellent!! |

Granted not one of his best mixes, but let's face it he could mix piles of shit and it's still better than most dj's mixes! |

Purpose maker track is Alarms and is the Bside to Jeff Mills's legendary "The Bells"
Also...The Josh wink track is actually the accapella locked groove to "are you there" on Ovum (Four tracks + 2 locked grooves)
if anybody has the full mix on any format and wants to swap a mix or two please email me at... weshayden@yahoo.co.uk as I only managed to get 45mins of this mix starting from "Altered states" |

this mix had some absolute peaches in it i dont know how norman jay gets the remixes others dont - a couple of absolute beauties in here - the license to kill track is sublime and also the 'no man' track too just so good - unfortunately littered with some criminally bad records (somebody answer the phone is a disgrace to music) and generally his mixing is as bad as ever but just so listenable !! keep it there ! |
