First half hour is amazing..then apart from the WOW track..."Intensify" it isn't really my style.
I'm sure it is a really good mix if you like trance though.
That "Belfast Trance" track is risable though. |

Yeah but my point is....maybe build it for an hour then go onto your signature sound.
Once you go really hard after half an hour of a 2 hour set you can't really go back down...or anywhere else for that matter.
The set then becomes somewhat stagnant and as a consequence bores the listener. |

nothing more I can really add unfortunately. |

This mix is really good. Tracj after track, its really well put together. And when that 'Float away' remix comes in.... OH MY GOD. If you like progresssive/Vocal trance You will like this, I promise. Give it a chance. |

i dont really understand how anyone can really dig this mix at all. There is nothing much happening in the form of mixing and the music is uninspiring to say the least.i think that greatscott put it best when he said "this mix is shite" |

Apart from a couple of dated sounding tunes
This is on the whole very nice indeed |

Literally bit of a mixed bag this mix is overall i think.
The opening 3 tracks or so are pretty uninteresting , played for too long then just faded in /out radio style like.
Then you get some some classic old skool electro and hip hop and some lesser known hip hop gems all quite heavily mixed up in some parts -some songs being reduced to just a few loops and stuff and then you get stuff played out radio fade style.
Theres no disputing the quality of most of the material on here -tiz all good its just mixed a bit oddly - and bit flatly -almost like a collection of alrightish mini megamixes within a mix .
The Aphex / techno section provides bit of variety .
The last section of just the Strong Island drums with bits of old school hip hop gems thrown over is a bit dull.
Its a reasonably good enough essential mix overall ..just bit dull in parts. |

As much as I hate to, have to agree with the majority opinion that the band recording is is way way superior to the DJ set...it simply kicks ASS. |

Superb flowing trancey house and by the sounds of it the crowd were lovin' it. Excellent set by Deep Dish. |

i can see why people don't like this mix.
it's a very ambitious and brave mix, the first hour is almost beatless and what beats there exist are not at club pace. i think that trentemoller has roots in the basic channel vien, as the tracks were heavily dubbed/echoed.
the second half is more upbeat (obviously) but still has elements of heavy dubbed out grooves in there which limit the potential for this mix to really peak out.
the inclusion of a heavy amount of his own productions lets this mix down slightly, his tracks are good and i rate him as a producer but 'his' sound overpowers through the mix and should be used more sparingly.
overall, i thought it was quite good. well programmed and uses many tracks that i've never heard crafted into a journey.
it's better by miles than the standard 'progressive' ploddy guff that seems to populate EM these days and i like the fact he's done something different. only critisim is that he might be flexing his musical credentials, impressing the few rather than entertaining the many. |

It starts of great! after I while, I lost it, but I think I have to listen to it a couple of times more. Maybe I can get more into it then. I would rate the mix a 7, but since he is such an awesome producer, I have to give it an 8. |
