A really nice mix this one....low on the BPMs throughout, takes a few listens to get into it but well worth it in the end.

First 20 mins OK then really puts the hammer down for the next half hour and gets messy towards the end. Recommend a listen.

Solid progressive trance mix, quality as usual from Sasha.

Not bad, it has a bit of edge and variation to it, but ultimately, not that special. 1 to 1 hr 30 is pretty funky & chilled and worth a listen.

Harder edged, but Bukem does it so much better.

Jose practically stops the record and plays the next one on my recording of this (about 30 mins in) so not so good. Some nice chilled slightly trancey tunes though but Digweed/Sasha does it better.

 Disco-Stu writes: [ 1996-12-31 - Carl Cox ]
Cox has done a LOT better sets that this. Mixing is typical high Cox standard but tunes themselves are disappointing.

Nowhere as good as his mix on 1995-08-27. Has aged poorly, and too reliant on the pop-house of the era. That being said, not bad if you love vocal-soulful-house although R. Sanchez is better at that game.

 Disco-Stu writes: [ 1995-10-01 - Carl Craig ]
Absolute stonking mix by Carl Craig - funky, great mixing, barn-storming beats. Lovely stuff.

 Disco-Stu writes: [ 1995-09-17 - Paul Oakenfold ]
Classic Oakenfold mix, not my favourite DJ by far but the quality is there. Some of it hasn't aged well but still OK.

Interesting stuff on this, he certainly takes chances, some of it is quite dark. Accomplished mixing too. Thumbs up.

Agree with the comments on here - fast, slow, fast, slow, fast etc. Pretty uninspired although OK to listen to if your driving fast on an A road and keep having to stop at the lights.

Just excellent, the mixing around "Honey Free At Last" is worth a 9 at least. Not a 10 for me, but quality nonetheless.

 Disco-Stu writes: [ 1995-05-28 - Pete Tong ]
Well it starts of bad and meanders abit until he plays a couple of nice trancey tunes - "That's Quite Meaty", and "got to be there". All in all though, not his best.

 Disco-Stu writes: [ 1995-04-09 - DJ Dimitri (Europe) ]
Not bad mixing, but average song choice. Not one I'd listen to again and again. Seems directionless with not much build-up. A shame, I wanted to enjoy having read the comments above. Prefer Dimitri from Paris after all.

Not bad hard house, better when it gets a bit trancey. Whatever the track is with "can you see, can you see, can you see..." 20 mins into 'part 1' is top notch.

Take the above comments, but 10 from me as I'm a sentimental old fool, especially as I was at his last gig.

 Disco-Stu writes: Average [ 1995-07-16 - LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad ]
Felt Bukem (pronounced Book-em, not buck-em, Pete Tong - that was annoying) was going through the motions a bit on this mix. OK but nothing special. Compare it to Progression Session 7 live from Japan, Bukem at his passionate best.

 Disco-Stu writes: Just brilliant [ 1995-07-23 - Roger Sanchez ]
Divine mix, one of the best there is. The build up around "feeling" is class.

 Disco-Stu writes: Better than 3! [ 2002-11-03 - Bob Sinclair ]
I can't believe the ratings the mix has got, it's very smooth & mellow, with some nice electro-house (not my favourite) especially in the first hour. An ideal start of the night house warm up.
