I haven't heard this set and from all the comments and ratings I think I will give this a miss. I admit, my days of hitting a club with the bright glow sticks are well over, and whilst I used to be a fan of Oakey, I haven't bought any of his music for years but I still enjoy music - good quality music. For me, there used to be a certain spark about Oakey, even if his mixing wasn't always top drawer, he would at least play some decent records, but like many DJs and artists today, they seem to chase the buck and release any old rubbish which is why the quality and reputation of the EM has deminished in the last year or so. |

A very good mix indeed from what I remember, Nick Warren always seems to produce the goods on the EM and I certainly appreciate a DJ/artist who puts alot of thought into the choice of records, style and direction of their set. |

These were the days when Paul Oakenfold and trance seemed to be a perfect match. All big tunes as you would expect, though his mixing was better than some other sets I have heard in the past. I am a fan of his GU compilation from New York in '98 that contains some tracks here. |

Not a bad mix from Mr Tong. Better than some of the stuff he spins today (in my opinion). |

A typical John Digweed mix, well put together, seamless mixing, a set that moves through the gears with some great tracks of that time. I never get tired of listening to this. |

Very enjoyable. One of the best E-mixes broadcast. |

This is the best I have heard from PVD despite being at one of his live performances a few years back. This shows that there was alot of quality trance back in the mid-late nineties, takes me back! I haven't listened or bought any of his latest productions for some time now - too commerical and well, it's rubbish (in my opinion). |

I recently listened to this the other week, one of my favourites. Not a bad tune to be heard, loved the bit when the Sasha & Marie track comes in. |

I overlooked this at first but after a couple of more listens, it really grows on you. Liked the opening half an hour or so, then build up to more of a trance feel. |

I liked this set, some stand out tracks, particularly God Within and "Raincry". |

I agree with the comments about his set arrangment as some tunes don't really helps this to flow. Having said that, some good trance played during this set. |

Another top set from Nick Warren. I have always been a fan of his style, even today, this mix doesn't seem to have aged. Looking forward to his next GU outing in the new year. |

Enjoyed this mix, certainly I think the crowd did too. I'm not usually a big fan of live sets as they don't always flow, but Sasha shows back then he was an exception. |

Well it's all been said, only heard this set about a year back and blew me away and a decade on, this has stood the test of time. A timeless and clever set indeed and this mix deserves nothing less than full marks. Pure class. |

First time I listened to this a few years back, I couldn't believe this was done by Paul Oakenfold. Though different from his usual big trance sets at the time, this was in my opionion, very well put together with alot of thought. An over used cliche I know, but for me this is a "journey". When the Talisman and Hudson track comes in, puts a smile on my face.
Great use of film soundtracks too and Oakenfold shows real imagination here. Why can't he produce sets like this these days? |

I remember listening to this at the time and it was quite different from what I expected, though not a bad thing. Every time I listen, other tracks seem to stand out. Particularly liked the first 30 mins or so. |

Enjoyable live set from Sasha, particularly when the Mono Culture track comes in. Very trancey indeed and well mixed. Then again it is Sasha |
