and big up to the perverts...next to craze probably the most technically skilled people to operate turntables, bar none. these guys are djs, everyone else is just glorified stereo operators who licked the right ass at a label to get a dubplate.

more or less everything you'd expect to hear from PVD. its not a bad mix, per say, it just doesnt sound that different from any of his live sets from the past 5-6 years. AND you have to endure hearing judge jules speak over the end of it...

 LawrenceHill writes: Digweed [ 1994-03-05 - John Digweed ]
Probably the last time you'll hear a 'club- friendly' John Digweed. A very 'up' Northern House mix from one of the former masters. Since Brian Transeau/Blue Amazon his and Sasha's heads haave been up their arses.

 LawrenceHill writes: Sasha [ 1994-01-15 - Sasha ]
When I were a lad, it were all green fields and Glen Molloy. When I started smoking all the green, I seeked sophistication and I found Sasha. It's a crying shame that this guy now plays absolute shite these days. Still listen to old Renaissance Mansfield, Soak/Kaos mixes. This is a gret mix and a great reflection of the less obvious music of the time, considering it were all pianos lad.

If you're looking for a full on hard house bangathon, this mix is OK but not great. Not subtle, not clever, but you get what you expect.

Enjoyed this, especially after wading through 4 hours of the bullshit that was on before it. Second half particularly good.

brado50 writes: Nothing to be Ashamed of [ 1994-10-02 - Danny Rampling ]
A not too bad 2 hr set by Mr. Rampling. It's a pretty banging acidey-type affair, sandwiched inbetween some so-so vocal house tunes at the start and finish. But the middle is definately where the meat is. It's loaded with tunes that will still get you moving over 10+ years down the road. Something to check out fo' sho'!

madgoose writes: vocally delicious [ 2006-09-03 - Kerri Chandler ]
the first 35 mins are storming, then, in my opinion, we're treated to a slightly iffy vocal track. fortunately this is only a temporary hiccough as we soon switch back to the atmospheric dark stuff.
my brother has been ranting to me about Kerri Chandler for a good number of years now, but that was for his production. I am glad to have finally heard his mixing which, given the added difficulties involved with mixing vocally-laden tracks, is spot-on.

minor alteration to the given track-listing: "you don't know" is the name of the track, and su su bobien is the vocalist. the track is actually made by mass syndicate.

I'm speechless...... These guys are DJ Gods!

The mixing was phenominal, the songs were all good (even the ones I thought I wouldn't like have been remixed to make them really catchy).

A Solid 10 from me.

Ryan2268 writes: [ 2006-08-13 - Paul Oakenfold, Live at Cream, Amnesia, Ibiza ]
by the way, I listened to the galaxy fm creamfields mix and it was significantly better than this amnesia one. He was still way better in '99 and '00 though. Most of his mixes have gone downhill ever since 2000 because he starts to use his own music, and he hasn't DJed as much. I don't think he really cares anymore about pleasing the people in the crowd. He just wants to put on his artist stuff. (which isn't really that great)

A lot of people respect him because of what he was years ago, but he isn't any sort of legend anymore. It's funny how people speaking on his mixes say, "We are so happy to have him here...and we continue with the 'legend of Paul Oakenfold'...etc etc. lol. He is 43 years old, and he really either needs to give it a rest, or step it up for once.
