 Leon writes: Flawless [ 1997-05-25 - DJ Sneak ]
This is in my top 5 ALL time fav. essential mixes - this was the first time Id heard of Dj Sneak.
Fucking amazing mix!
you probably wouldnt notice unless you mix or even own the records but Sneak had two copies of some of the records (which wasnt mentioned in any magazine tracklisting) - there is this fucking banging section where he has two copies of 'Spinal Scratch' (the original and beat mix) and cuts the back and forth, I swear it was so good I never realised until I bought a second copy (I assumed it was a unknown mix/remix).

Respect to DJ Sneak!

Leon writes: one of the best [ 1995-12-23 - Pete Tong ]
Got this one one tape
Excellent selection, the mixings a bit rough though, but still an excellent blend.
This is one of my all-time-favourate essential mix broadcasts!

 Leon writes: Mix [ 1996-12-31 - Pete Tong ]
I recorded the entire brodcast and loved it when I heard it,
Im listening to it now infact (16/04/06)
there was so much more than just the Pete Tong mix,
There was a absolute bangin' Jose padilla mix, which still blows me away.

by the way, the pete tong mix was appalling! - badly mixed.

 Mike Zomer writes: [ 1994-01-22 - Junior Vasquez ]
I just listened to this mix for the first time and the sound quality was pretty awful. Allthough i don't expect to really like this mix if it had a better quality. It's kinda boring, no suprises at all in the music choice. Better skip this one.

The start is kinda bad, but than it really is a great ride. Maybe it's just the memories lived again by listening to so many classics, but i also believe this is a pretty hot mix!

 buzziefunny writes: worth a 10 [ 1993-10-30 - Pete Tong ]
well, i felt this mix was quite well done...though not technically amazing, it did give a nice sampling of what house was/is on both ends of the spectrum...a "happy-clappy" (thx matrix!), first half, which, to me, represents a bit of where house came from, with a pretty funky ass/somewhat acidy second half...solid all the way through, and enough diversity to make the 2 hours a good listen...and it WAS the first, so props for that...

buzziefunny writes: damn fine from tong [ 2006-02-26 - Pete Tong, Live from Ministry of Sound ]
thought this set was f-in bangin...it takes 30min to get there though, first half hour is slow and boring, but once he finally drops the beat, he keeps it there...its nasty and funky and chunky, with a bit of a mellow euphoria blended in...a proper set, imo...

 buzziefunny writes: zzzzz [ 2006-01-08 - Francois Kevorkian ]
huh...what...was i listening to a mix here? oh yeah...guess i was...but not very avidly...started slow, built up to sleepy, and went all out stale at the end for me...quite boring...not essential for me...

buzziefunny writes: agree also [ 2006-03-26 - Desyn Masiello, Demi and Omid 16b aka SOS ]
i too have to agree with the comments that this set has its bangin moments, but also its very lackluster spots...perhaps trimming it down to just 2 hours would've worked better...definitely not horrible, above average, in fact, i'd say, but not omfg drooling set...

 buzziefunny writes: boring [ 2005-10-16 - Chris Liebing ]
tried it a couple times, can't get into it...flat, uninspired, and all those other lovely synonyms for boring...a few patches where it goes off, but it just doesn't go anywhere...

buzziefunny writes: good sign off [ 2005-12-25 - Danny Rampling ]
while i understand what matrix is saying w/his comment, i feel d.r. was justified in using those tracks in this mix...after all, it was his last ever em, and quite near the end of his dj'ing days, so, it was cool to hear him playing tracks talking about house music and what it means...and, that put aside, it was a pretty bangin' set...

 buzziefunny writes: hmm [ 2005-05-01 - Andy C ]
after all the hype i'd heard over this guy, i was expecting to be blown away...it didn't totally suck balls, but it didn't rock my world at all...very repetitive, boring...high energy, but, average...i think a little more versatility could've done some good here

buzziefunny writes: not bad at all [ 2005-08-14 - Above & Beyond live from Space, Ibiza ]

 stricjux writes: a bit to experimental [ 2006-04-09 - Tiga ]
Good Tiga mix, but for my taste a bit to experimental sound... I prefer his innercity05 preformace over this one.
