In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

was alot better than jules... he can move a crowd, but its better if u give him a longer set.
ive seen a few of his 6hour marathons in crasher and he always does things that no other dj can! seriously pure magic!

i was there, and i only caught abit of it. but i thought it was crud cos it was 4-5am or summit and wasnt stimulating enough. im a real big fan of jules, even when all the club kids were slating him... he was usualy awesome at his residence sets at crasher! i do dislike his comercial side, bnut im sure he rakes it in |

by the way, i spoke to sander about this mix and he doesnt know the name of the untitled track b4 the unreal mike vandenburg track, he recieved it on cd the morning of the essential mix with no name on it!!! just incase any1 wanted to know the name of it. |

not hard enough! seems to me alot of the 'harder' dj croud techno/hardhouse/hardtrance dont play to there full potential on the essential mix. poor realy

this essential mix got me into dance music.
pete tong ended his set with 'fuji' then oakey came on..... he doesnt play vavoom, last track is 'the profit' and then judge jules was on after i seen to recall |

By the way it is the Brad Carter mix of Alright, with the breakdown looped a bit... it's probably a proper exclusive re-edit, come to think of it, as it's on Morillo's label. |

I was pleasantly surprised byt this one also. Very creative and technically inspired, only losing pace towards the end. It went down an absolute blast with the crowd as can be heard, which I think is why I appreciated it so much the first time i listened to it. It doesn't have much home-listening longevity tho. Still one of the better mixes of the summer. |

i have been listening to th e/m since may 94 and can honestly say there were as many poor mixes as there are now.In some senses the music has moved on and sound production is better but there are more poor quality djs getting airplay now.The reason for this is that you dont have to be good to get a gig,you can also play 2 hours of tracks that sound good in a club but crap over the radio.
this set was a perfect example of not the dj,but the shit mass of music out there which djs choose to play. |

a few years ago i was wondering how did this kind of bad 'music' pop up in the surface.
now i wonder how the hell it's still played on the radio.
