All of Oakey's mixes during 1999 absolutely rock. Was lucky enough to live in L'pool during his residency...... F@#king awesome...... All of the Em's ever broadcast with the exception of 3 can be downloaded from www.freshlymixed.com. Costs $2.50 per month, never spent money on anything better, like being 24 and going off my nut again.......

I'm in the middle - I don't find it offensive to not be pushing a new sound, and actually found this mix mildly diverting. On the other hand, it won't be coming back on my playlist any time soon, exactly because it doesn't move me the way djpeanut explained it. There haven't been many in 2005 that have, but Martin Solveig was one, and that was an old sound too - it just didn't matter to me.

Sorry... really, really sorry to have to disagree... but doesn't it sound a little clichéd? It sounds like the sound of thing the Tyrant boys were peaking with 2 years ago, when it *was* new and exciting. Now every bedroom DJ mix I find on the net is full of tracks by John Tejada, MANDY, Buick Project, Eulberg, and labels like Poker Flat, Get Physical, Soma, Kompakt, 20:20 etc etc etc blah blah blah... it's so stiflingly inescapable. Electro-tinged house that sounds like the result of a studio engineering exercise. There's no funk and no sound, all I can hear is someone trying to accomplish a technically perfect 2 hour mix without taking a step back and asking themselves if the music coming out ot the speakers actually moves them. I need to hear something truly amazing to restore my faith in House, or I'll burn my vinyl and buy a guitar.

I actually thought this was a comedy mix at one stage....the speed of the vocal on that Praise Cats bootleg Amber D plays is laughable.

Tidy Boys were'nt quite as bad.

But all in all even avid HH lovers could'nt have found any redeeming qualities in this pile of sh1te.

I find the 2nd hour better then the first one; the 1st is a bit too laidback for me, but on the other hand it has some real nice african tracks.

btw, I have found a part of the tracklisting. I think its for the 2nd hour, but Im not sure.

1 - Bah Samba feat. Isabel Fructuoso - Calma - Louie Vega remix (BKO)
2 - Markus Enochson feat. Ingela Olson - Listen for it - Ian Friday vocal (Ricanstruction)
3 - Roy Ayers - Holiday - Dope mix (BBE)
4 - HCCR - Warped (Bambossa)
5 - Kerri Chandler - Bar a thym (King Street)
6 - Karizma feat. DJ Spen - 4 the love (Code Red)
7 - Sterling Ensemble feat. Sara Devine - Life ain't what it seems (Vega)
8 - Peven Everett - Easy livin' (mais je ne crois pas que ce soit le mix de Franck...)
9 - Jovonn - Old man groan - Spen, Thommy & Hudge remix

when you are into a paricular style and speed of house music hearing a totally different one is either interesting or boring, this was neither.
it was bloody fast and i wondered wether they played all their best tunes as they were on the radio,as it was a bit hands in the air and sing along, insomnia and shiva etc etc.
amber d was better in the second hour, full marks for keeping the pace going.
mixing was good but then at that volume beat alignment isnt hard.
tony de vit will be smiling from his console in the clouds, god rest his soul.

A lot of regular fans and we know what we talk about agree this set is way too commercial. do you guys actually think we like him no mather what of course not. you guys are just blind. his recent mixing is way better and even has the magik feeling a certain times. Like his HMH performing the 29th of april, if you were there you wouldn't say he was crap anymore and we (tiesto.com) know what we talk about...that's all I wanted to say

Dear essentialmix.nu community!

Does anybody know the track from min 47' to min 51'?
It's between
Maydie Myles - "Keep On Luvin" (K4B)
and
Ecstacy - "Fantasy" (King St)
and not mentioned in the tracklist!

Thank you for every kind of help!

This would probably sound great in a club, but doesn't rise above the 'not too bad' listening at home.
