 Information
Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

hey whats the argument,so he plays off ableton live now,he cant be knocked for trying to take the mix onto another dimension.
he should be knocked for playing cheesy tracks into his set,do we all think he might be getting bored of the scene?
a friend of mine once watched him drink a whole bottle of jack daniels through a 7 hour set in japan.dont knock him i think he is trying to keep himself interested in the whole thing by pushing the limits, incidentally whats happened to carl cox?

over rated, they are, someone has put them on a pedestal and should have the sense to let them get down, gone are the days of elastic relativity and alcatraz, they are coasting along on a boring wave right now.

hello, this is pony, their last e-mix was the nuts but this is miles away, they seem to be suffering from "we are great so will do what we like" syndrome, peaked and dropping.

does anyone agree that when sasha played this set it was fresh and bright and new,but is it fair to say that this is when he peaked.

since then its been duller, and more like old rope at times ,come on am i right or wrong

without a doubt garnier is the absolute nuts and stands head and shoulders above all others in terms of selection and drive, this mix was ok,but hey its a cheesy set up!

you know these guys still manage to produce throbbing and melodic sets,it is a rare treat to hear them as they mostly play in the states.
more like them and less like these sad jocks who litter the essential mix like confetti.Come on radio 1,hit the button and give us less live gigs and more journeys by dj...................................

nothing to add, just incredible sound and powerfull house/tech...
I agree that the mix is a litlle bit strange (too much effect or do not know what), but the playlist is, HO MY GOD, perfect !

I really like that TDR track, probably the best track in his mix. Good range of tracks.

Went well untill Technotronic was brought in a few times way out and when brought in for the final time still out of time along with the next few tracks out of time too kinda ruined the flow along with going all electroey after some quality house which he shouldve really stuck to.

Does anyone have a more complete tracklisting then this? I think a few tracks are missing and also some samples.

A bit of dodgy mixing in this set but the tracklisting is the goods.

The artist unknown one (7th track) is from one of the early Acid Jesus (Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke) releases on Klang.
