First essential mix I ever heard/ I thought it was well good, cause it started off non-house, with chilled out beats. Built up into house, then last 20 mins were chilled. How ALL mixes should be constructed. Then Judge Jules went downhill around 96.

8/10 for this mix, which was an Ibiza Special EM. Drop me a line if you got this mix on MP3, please.

Not listened to an essential mix, for 5 years. But since I loved DD's mid 90s stuff, and since everyone gave it a 10/10, I'll give it a go,once I'v got it from SoulSeek.

 Leitmotif writes: Mix listings mixed-up [ 1996-02-11 - Stacey Pullen ]
This was a really excellent mix. The track listing is in a random order though. Anyone know what the correct order is?

 nongomery writes: Light-weight Ferry [ 2004-02-08 - Ferry Corsten ]
It can't be usual, it can't be normal. THis mix is essential...

Made with amazing power drives int othe heart of positive and brave trance. He, the master of the trance music, drives his cds far away from the Earth and takes us into deep space... space of crazy and well-matched tracks mixed into one, of course very still compilation with its own atmosphere and speed. All under control

 nongomery writes: Heard twice equals fine :-) [ 2003-03-09 - Gabriel & Dresden ]
That's how the double spins its own sounds :] I think that's one of the best low-speed mixes I've ever heard. Pretty old but still fresh and highly and easily recognizable. Inluding several, non-electronic tracks into mix, Gabriel & Dresden leads the quality to a higher level but some sounds (especially the two last songs) seem to be out of the blue. One more "+" for interesting and spritiual introduction

Oscar and Ralph are unreal. The U2 mix was great. the Dire Straights Mix was great. And then to top it all off, hey drops Bob Marley and has the crowd sing back with them. They are both excellent DJ's and Producers.

 hazard_ writes: Mylo. [ 2005-04-10 - Mylo ]
This kid is going places. His remixing skills are top. Right up there with Scumfrog, he likes doing funny vocal stuff. (Also if any of you get a chance check out Felix's mix of Drop the pressure, talk about nice dubby clipped vocal edit work) -- But this kid rocks, His King Unique remix was great along with drop the pressure, and all the boot legs it's spawned. That track appearing on the scene really made a difference. Excellent Mix.

hazard_ writes: Jango Fett Would Be Proud. [ 2005-05-15 - Tom Middleton ]
This mix is awesome. And i'm not just saying that because i'm a Closet Star Wars Geek with a cardboard cutout of Boba Fett. I think the Jedi Disco track was excellent, along with that other track where the hook pops up " Princess Leia, I'd date her, in a galaxy far, far away, Undercover, Disco Lover, Obiwan-A-Go Go. " That makes me laugh.

hazard_ writes: Tom Neville [ 2005-06-05 - Tom Neville ]
I've never heard any of Tom's livesets, only remixes he's dropped. This kid is totally going places. (just like mylo) Great use of soft analogs and oldschool drumkits. CUZ I'M LOUDER THAN A BOMB!

Very Hard Techy, the breakdowns totally feel like Hawtin, plus good use of blending style and composition.

hazard_ writes: Deep Dish [ 2005-06-19 - Deep Dish ]
I'm not much for trance at all, I can't do the Ferry Corsten Stuff, and barely can feel the Perfecto Vibe anymore, but these guys SHRED, it's good, deep, tribal, etc. Also This Track REALLY did it for me :

Deep Dish featuring Stevie Nicks - 'Dreams' [Dub Mix + Club Mix] (Positiva)

Very Impressive.
