tiesto is paid more than the other trance djs people have mentioned because he gets tracks on acetate months before anyone else. Same with grooverider, fabio, etc. I can't see him filling stadiums in a few years, so like a football player over 30 he may as well rake it in whilst he can 
There's some pretty boring tracks at the beginning of the mix, and a really cheesy vocal monster (by Tiesto himself).
But there's also some cracking tunes on this mix I think, Olympic flame and the one after (although a bit ruined by an out-of-key violinist), and my favourite which i haven't been bothered to work out the name of (vocal one with lyrics "dont you know that i've been lying from the start").
His mixing is nothing special compared to people like Dave Clarke, but he does stick the right tunes together and change the tempo in the right places.

I thought the mix started out good...very bouncy and energetic, but this got a bit boring after half an hour. It picked up a bit nearer the end though. |

Few pointers/ additions :-
-The Cheif XL track is actually -The Groove Robbers feat. DJ Shadow- "Last Stop" .
-The Nine promo is Nine feat. Bounty Killa-"Warrior" (instrumental) .
-The Prunes -"Intermission Pt.3" -(ie-the track that gets cut up) apears after Major Force -zengun in action" (aka Tycoon Tosh & Terminator Troops for this track on some comps over here )
-6 Million Dollar Man Main Titles appear after DJ Shadow-"Midnight" (Gab Version)
-It's The Analgamation Of Soundz -""Eric"
-Unkle's -"Berry Meditation" (attica blues mix) appears briefly before Unkle-"Berry Meditation" (original)
-DJ Shadow-"Napalm /Scatterbrain" appears after the Dust Brothers "Save Me"
-there is a wu-tang "c.r.e.a.m" sampling jungle track after Roni Size "Down" before DJ Die

@andy .. just check pete tongs mix from a few weeks ago .. check that 'close to me' which starts at 60:16 with a nice hardfloor like acid buildup ...
that's what i call trance .. no cheese, just pure uplifting |

don't fancy all the trancy stuff BUT at 60:16 there's a nice hypnotic track with vocals 'closer to me' which starts with a nice synth tune. I sense a radio slave version
