 Information
Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

re: 'Twilights Last Gleaming' (have you heard) could be vated as the tune of 2004 in the drum'n'bass scene.

Not at all!! Definately a good tune but not that good!

djpeanut writes: Not boring [ 1997-03-09 - Ashley Beedle ]
...but as mentioned above, very laid back first half. It's quality house through and through. A nice progression into the second half with some tempo changes and a different vibe - I liked this mix.

 Leitmotif writes: Wanted! [ 1993-12-18 - David Holmes ]
I cannot stress how much I miss this mix! I lent the tape to someone back in about 1995 and can't for the life of me remember who If anyone has a copy - please please please - I'll even pay for it. Just let me know at willkelly1@hotmail.com. I will be soooo grateful. This was a really good mix, and I agree, David Holmes went off in some pathetic direction - he doesn't even know about funk

superb mix! really one of my favourite mixes of all times and no doubt - among the best Essential mixes too. and not only because i love Portishead, mix itself quite surprised me with selection. but in a good meaning.

The best of the three. Quite deep and slow. Shame I only have 40 mins of it.

 paul26 writes: [ 2002-07-07 - Fergie, Live @ Mardi Gras ]
Wow, powerful stuff! Dark, hard and menacing - good if you want to just freak yourself out a little bit. This just shows how Fergie's style has changed over the last few years - this is much, much harder than what he plays on his radio show nowa days. The penultimate track was 'Rectifier' by Ricky Effe doesn't seem to be listed above
