This is quite possible the best older essential mix there is. Like sum1 else said the mixing is a little shoddy in places but the combination of so many different great tunes from different genres is great. i particularly love some of the old skool traks, particularly Blame's ''music takes you'' which i have just found on 12'' on e-bay.  |

This mix has got some really interesting tunes in it 7 is comparible in style 7 quality to the daft punk mix the previous year. Tong the dafty admits @ the start that he doesn't know what dry stone walling is! ha ha ha ha !!!! |

was lucky enough to be there, a quick look at the tracklistings may look like "same old, same old" from oakie but he rocked the main tent. U know its good when its raining sweat from the ceiling and the DJ has to have two 'accomplice's' to hold umbrellas over the decks!
btw... anyone know where i can get a copy of this mix?

This mix starts off great for the first 12 mins then goes cheesey and repetative for what seems like forever. But picks up again eventually. Only gets a 7 for lack of consistency. The track list is slightly wrong. near the start Next Is The E comes in before Jungle lines. Jungle Lines marks the start of a boring 30mins. |

This mix has everything a 10 rated mix should have: Great tunes, wonderfully accurate mixing, great use of samples and a little bit of scratching. Anyone who liked this should also check it his Kiss FM mix from 2001. |

I felt this mix only deserved a 9 coz it didn't quite have the same edge as Oakie's mix from earlier that year. |
