Good set. Big room trance from the year of trance. Mixing's a bit patchy, but with some of Pete Tong's favourite records like access and higher state and the adrenaline running high it can be forgiven. I can't bring myself to like that Chemical Brothers track, arguably the worst thing they've done.

Not sure about this. With tracks like Skip Raiders and Bullet in the Gun he came close to cheesetastic territory, but the first hour is brilliance.

As cheesy as you would expect from Dave Pearce, but there's no doubting his talent to work a crowd, the atmosphere is electric; for that reason alone it gets an 8 from me.

The me GA track is Prototype - Soundpiercing (omni Mix). A banging mix for sure, I much prefered his Essential mixes in 2000 though.

Iy's OK, nothing amazing, progressive techy trance, some great mixing, but didn't really float my boat.

Lost in music is a boot of the Sister Sledge track,White Label NDP 001.

There's a track at the end as well.

A fairly standard funy, slightly tribal mix - hard to hate, but nothing amazing.

Some classics on here, but it's a bit patchy. Starts off funky, Daft Punk style and goes into banging trance. He played Desert Voices a track Sasha was still playing 2 years later.

Yes it's cheesy, but he played System F out of the blue, Travel Bulgarian and a few other around a year before they became big. Lots of energy in this mix. Well worth a listen.

Most big 2-step garage tunes of the year are featured in this feel good mix, mixing is decent, but nothing extraordinary, MC Neats toasting skills are as cheesy as you would expect. I just get good vibes from this, I think the atmosphere in the Glasto tent must have been amazing.

Great mix from Mr Tong in preparation for PVD.

Starts off with some banging breaks and goes into UK garage. Well worth a listen.

Nice mix of techno and some more progressive housey tracks. Runs out of steam in the middle, but compass and mumps were made for each other.

Every set PVD played in 2000 was a banger. I think his set from Home, London is the best he's played. This one from Homelands festival is probably his second best.

A dark drum and bass mix. Pacific by 808 state breaks up some of the darkness with its light, funkiness. I thought the mixing was good, but could maybe be tighter. Worth a listen if you like your DNB.

Quality all the way. Funky house to pumping TDV-style hard house to the trancey stuff that was called Hardbag. Back in the day mix - this was one of the best that year.

Ze French do it with style. Quality all the way.

Quality set, definitely a return to form after a few duff sets.
