To Markoos. We rocked it with Seaman @ROOM 680, Melbourne Australia in May this year. Let me tell you this man played a Deep, Dirty, Sexy set which many Dj's these days are too scared to do. He played that progressive sound like it should be and the Melbourne crowd just love that shit. This is an awsome essential mix.

It'll be on the Radio1 website until Saturday night, when it'll be replaced by next weeks mix. It's only streamed (rather than downloadable), but suggest you get on there quick to get it. I forgot he was on this weekend, will probably have a look myself...

Proper mix even though it is getting somewhat dated. The mixing quality speaks for itself. Well worth the download.

The Moonface track is U Get So Give, not that any of us knew that at the time mind you!

The first hour of this set is mindblowing.

markoos writes: Fantastic, a totally fantastic mix [ 2004-09-12 - Dave Seaman ]
I've heard Dave Seaman many times over the years but I'm sad to say its been a while now since I last heard him play live, so I was really looking forward to this new mix.

But even though I knew it was coming up, I still fucked up recording it.

I spent the first ten/fifteen minutes trying to drag my brain into gear so I could stream it to my hard drive. Didn't work, coudn't get a hot enough signal and still hadn't woken up enough to figure out why. Couldn't find a blank minidisc either, so getting any sort of digital copy was out... and tape? nah, not anymore!

So I thought, I'll just lay back down with the headphones on (Beyerdynamic DT250's for that fat club vibe!)
And even though it was cranked up a bit, I still managed to drift in and out of the soundfield, sort of semi counscious... but what I heard was amazing, some fantastic tracks with perfect programming and mixing. Pretty suprpised no one else has posted on this mix. I though it was brilliant, and can't wait for him to play again at Shindig.

Now, where can this iddiut download this set from...? if you can help me out with a quality copy (at least 200k+ mp3, even a 44.1 file or CD if you want to do some sort of deal) I would be a happy man. I'd even pay or send you a coupla blank discs...!

surgeon writes: Sir Clarke [ 1996-05-06 - Dave Clarke ]
Absolute genius - but we all know that. Im as regular to atomic jam as the cleaner is the following day, and thankfully is Dave Clarke. The cigar chomping geezer is a legend already and every essential mix is throughly thought out and the tracks are well calculated. Ive spoke to Dave on a hand-full of occasions, a real down to earth person..keep up the good work Dave.

Really very ordinary mix, but DO NOT judge this mans talent according to this mix alone. Saw him play in Melbourne 2003 on his 24/7 tour @ ROOM 680. Without a doubt the best set played by any touring P/H Dj for the year. All in Melbourne, Australia can't wait to hear him play again.

Requires patients at first, then once into it be rewarded by this wonderfully created set.. Alot more serious than other Essential Mixes in regards to choice of tracks rolled out and mixed. That track Eli (lizard mix) AMAZING..

Awsome set, so deep, so strong, so real. These guys aren't afraid to create and play progressive sounds like they should be. This mix is definitly a must. Great start to the year. How about that last track (untitled)
sheer bliss.
