This mix was also recorded from a club called HOME. Brilliant mix from Oakenfold, starts off his 1999 World Tour in style. So many stand out tunes.....Narcotik - "Blue".......Delerium - "Silence"(Fades Sanctuary mix)....and mega WOW @ Sisko - "Light OverMe".

Malone Zone writes: As said [ 1999-01-03 - Scott Bond ]
This was the best available at the time. Some Amazing Trance in there. This was even broadcast on my Birthday. Hip Hip Hooray. What a start to the year

Malone Zone writes: Possibly better than Oakenfold?? [ 1998-10-11 - Pete Tong ]
Excellent mix from Tong, i do enjoy it when he actually trys out a differnet style. This mix is actually banging from the start, a little harder from the more typical 'housey' tong sets. Major respect for Deepsky track (see Digweed GU006 Sydney for Details)

Malone Zone writes: Gets the party Started [ 1998-05-02 - Pete Tong ]
What a start to the essential mix......The entire show was excellent. If there were awards for best extended essential mix, this would get it. Sadly just not as good as Sasha & Oakeys. Plus point was he beat Oakenfold to Transa - "Enervate" (Perfecto) & the Pink Floyd Brown Acid track.

Malone Zone writes: Excellent mix [ 1998-05-02 - Paul Oakenfold ]
Around the time i use to debate with my mate 24/7 as to which mix was better, this or Sasha's (from the same night). Although my taste has now moved on from Oakeys, this still rates as highly as anything i've encountered. First time i ever heard Binary Finary. Possibly the best ever trance tune (in this genre) made.

 Malone Zone writes: WHAT A NIGHT [ 1998-03-22 - Pete Tong ]
Sadly the memories are fading but certainly not the love of the music. First Essential mix i attended. The atmosphere almost made me touch cloth

Malone Zone writes: Once again the stamp of quality [ 1998-04-12 - John Digweed ]
Once again Digweed really shows who is the master. Droppin Dollshead - its over, its under a month before Sasha. Also droppin proper filthy nasty breakz a la Hybrid stylee prolly b4 they were.

Cracking mix. The mix of 'Mystery Land' is 'Sickboys Courtyard Mix'.

 djiceman writes: wow [ 2004-02-22 - James Zabiela ]
very hard to believe some people rated this mix lower than a 9 or 10 .. Zabielas sound and flawlessness in this mix is UNBELIEVABLE.

possibly not one of dave's best mixes (the 2000 one was a bomb! esp. the end) but still quality. 9!

What amazes me is that those male vocals in the first track aren't actually a part of Niji. Who else can do that?

I'd have given it a 10 if the recording wasn't so muffled.
