Good overall mix by Diggers. Wasn't overly memorable though. It didn't have that killer peak or track that I was looking for.

Great mix.
At minute 32, there's an AWESOME track. It's supposed to be:
Chris Lake ‘Deadline’ [Rising Music]

But it's not. Anyone knows this track?

Well it wasn't a brilliant mix (but so few are these days). Nonetheless it was pretty good, especially the last half. The first half hour was kinda all over the place and didn't get into a groove until midway. Sounded like the crowd enjoyed it tho.

 CerealKiller writes: [ 2006-01-29 - Coldcut ]
First off I'm a big fan of Coldcut...some of their work on their Solid Steel sessions are permanent fixtures on my mp3 player wherever I go....their Blue Room Mix & Triple J Mix are all top notch...and this was a great 2 hour mix.

I do agree that they could have tried mixing things up a bit. Most of these tracks can be found in their other works, but it was still a great showing from them. The DJ work was top notch (as expected) and it was a fun mix.

Now if they would only do another E-Mix for their fans!

This mix is a pure classic!

It has a hard driving bass line throughout and it really takes you on a journey through all types of musical genres while still standing as a coherent mix.

I need to find the four hour version that this e-mix was edited from!

How this didn't get E-Mix of the year I will never know... This mix showed extreme talent (Both for track selection/production and mixing/blending skills).

Don't get me wrong the Above & Beyond mix was enjoyable, but it doesn't compare to this in the slightest.

This mix is probably in my top 5 e-mix's of all time.

CerealKiller writes: Too bad there isn't an edit button... [ 2007-10-20 - Seb Fontaine ]
Anyways, Seb Fontaine's EM aired on 10/20/07. John Digweed's EM from the Warehouse Project live aired on 10/13/07. And Cream's 15th anniversary with Pete Tong and Armin Van Buuren is set for 10/27/07.

 CerealKiller writes: Didn't this air on 10/20? [ 2007-10-20 - Seb Fontaine ]
Check the BBC Radio One website. Not sure how it's listed as a 10/14 air date) the 10/14 set is listed as John Digweed from the Warehouse Project.

agree with synkboy. was expecting a large dollop of brie (even though i do like his 'let me think about it' tune, cheesy as it is). what we get instead is some decent 'sounds of now'. yes, the tunes all fit into the tech-house style that loads of dj's are banging out but i like all that stuff.

tgross79 - you need to get the old EM's downloaded. e.g. from a top site - freshlymixed.com. this is not a plug, for the price of a few $'s a month, you have unlimited and fast access to all the EM's plus a load of other dance radio shows - well worth checkig out...

drewby1 writes: decent mix [ 2007-09-02 - Dubfire (Al Shirazinia from Deep Dish) ]
parts of it are like a lot of the electro/techno/bleepy-noise mixes that are doing the rounds these days but i like it. some decent tunes and a few you can get lost in. what i think is Smith & Selway 'Transit Time [Dubfire Remix]' really sticks out. plus, i do rate oh superman.

listened to it a couple of times and still not bored. only gave it an 8 because there are lots of better EM's out there.

why is electronic music always associated with new order and depeche mode? Did I miss the memo?

listened to this again......and then for a third time just to make sure i heard what i heard, and it really was only decent.....kinda lacked as a set.....i guess i was yearning for the real dark progressive tracks of yesterday....i was left with a dssapointment (sp?)

 tgross79 writes: Seb Fontaine back on R1 EM [ 2007-10-20 - Seb Fontaine ]
Good mix from mr fontaine....gotta give him credit for putting the Halo 3 intro in the begining (sp?) I am tempted to give him a 9, because its one of teh best mixes of the year so far.

Maybe the new time slot is giving way to more upbeat mixes, we can only hope that this mixes will be live more and more in the coming weekends.
