Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

 Kyle Mole writes: French house
I have to agree with the others, this is a phat mix! There are soooo many tunes I'm STILL trying to find for my own record box!
This is what French cascading disco and R.L.S (repetitive loop syndrome- Sneak, Van Helden and Steve Mac all suffer from this), it just blows out the room!

Not bad, doesn't compare to their hour-long mix for Tong's Ess Selection , was around NYE '98?
That was ultra-class, very inventive and lively. Check the running of a spoken few words over Lonnie Liston Smith 'The Garden of Peace'.....mad, just mad....
