Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

Best breakbeat emix I have ever heard. This includes all the mixes up to 2004 including his 2003 set. This is the shit!

James Lee writes: Freeland was and still is!
Fantastic, not many mixes rock with tune after tune from begining till end, could not believe what I was hearing, its in my top 5 of ALL time "Essential Mixes". 10 years on this mix still gets played and NEVER sounds dated, its the GOLD standard, benchmark for ALL other "Coastal Breaks" mixes. ALL my friends have heard this one (they have to).
