matrix writes: Look at the length of that tracklist...
This is certainly a special mix. Lots of different styles and very good use of sound bites. Not many e-mixes like this one - definitely check it out.

Not a 10 because since it covers so many genres it dips into some I really don't like....notably the hip-hop around the Marly Marl part.

As Pasty As They Wanna Be writes: Salright....
Literally bit of a mixed bag this mix is overall i think.

The opening 3 tracks or so are pretty uninteresting , played for too long then just faded in /out radio style like.

Then you get some some classic old skool electro and hip hop and some lesser known hip hop gems all quite heavily mixed up in some parts -some songs being reduced to just a few loops and stuff and then you get stuff played out radio fade style.
Theres no disputing the quality of most of the material on here -tiz all good its just mixed a bit oddly - and bit flatly -almost like a collection of alrightish mini megamixes within a mix .
The Aphex / techno section provides bit of variety .
The last section of just the Strong Island drums with bits of old school hip hop gems thrown over is a bit dull.
Its a reasonably good enough essential mix overall ..just bit dull in parts.

Easily a 10 rating. This sets the standard.

Also check out his BTTB mixes. Heres a oldschool page of reviews.

 jazzyjase writes: Simply brilliant
A superb selection of very diverse tunes and music mixed together in a way that make you wonder what's coming next. One of my favourite all time essential mixes.

 jazzyjase writes: erratic
I don't think the tracklisting given here, though, is in any particular order. Which is annoying.
