This is my favourite mix of all time.
I didn't hear it until 2000 (when Radio 1 repeated it) but have listened to it hundreds of times and am yet to get bored of it.
Zdar's tune selection and mixing is awesome and Boombass's use of samples is wicked.
The mixing in the last 20 mins does get a bit messy in parts, but the first 100 mins more than make up for that.
This mix was actually recorded live from The End in London-if you listen carefully when they drop Cassius 1999 you can just about hear the crowd whooping in the background.
There were 3 other tracks that were played in this mix that aren't on the tracklisting. The one between Buffalo Bunch and Cassius is by We In Music and is called "Penthouse".
Don't know about the other 2 tracks though(before and after Scott Grooves). |
