This mix was also recorded from a club called HOME. Brilliant mix from Oakenfold, starts off his 1999 World Tour in style. So many stand out tunes.....Narcotik - "Blue".......Delerium - "Silence"(Fades Sanctuary mix)....and mega WOW @ Sisko - "Light OverMe". |

this is what oakenfold WAS all about!a trend setter to all other djs at that particular moment in time.gets a 9 coz he played garbage - when i grow up otherwise would have got a 10! |

Up to Utah Saints it was what I don't like about Oakenfold - good tunes in a sequence that doesn't really work together. But from that point it came good in a big way (with the possible exception of the 'Paradise' tune).
A high 8, maybe a 9 when I listen again. |

Good music for the most part,
the second track is absolutely TERRIBLE though.
Although the aspect in this mix,and indeed of all his mixes that irritates me is the shoddy mixing and programming.
He also does'nt give his sets a lot of thought as the tracks don't flow at all well.
This is a half decent collection of tunes,
but as a mix it is let down by all the things I have listed above.
I still don't see why his World Tour mixes are held in such regard personally.
There were much better trance mixes in this year. |

Couldve been better arranged with thoe tracks given, but back in 99 regardless this sounded amazing and still does, quality from start to finish. |

I agree with the comments about his set arrangment as some tunes don't really helps this to flow. Having said that, some good trance played during this set. |
