tonight, the essential mix welcomes back sasha, for the debut guest appearance in 2000, so no station hopping and make sure you stay tuned to radio1 for the next two hours, because its not every day sasha comes to play in the kitchen,.. in fact, it is not every day that sasha comes to play..
all i can say is, top notch mix, making sasha what he is, the man like |

10+ material. Words canot describe this... thing. This is without a doubt, THE GREATEST ESSENTIAL MIX THAT EVER EXISTED!!!. Way ahead of it's time. Six years old and still fresh. To progressive for 1999, to progressive for 2005, this mix chalenges our minds and takes us beyond. This mix is unreal. Sasha is the mf-ing master. As Pete Tong puts it: REEEEEEEESPECT!!!!!!! |

I've never been a massive Sasha fan but this is great! The first 40 mins are out of this world, but sadly, I feel he loses the momentum for the next 20 mins or so. Recovers well though and the remaining hour is consistently strong.
Highly recommended |

This is almost faultless,
the only fault I find with it(and it is a small one),is the fact he plays DJ Remy - Pumped up and has to pitch it down so much, and it just does'nt sound right.
Why Sasha, can't you go back to sets like this instead of the shit we have to listen to from you nowadays!!!!! |

This is probably the era for which most remember Sasha: Xpander, Twilo, #1 in DJ Mag... and stunning mixes like this. Similar style of deep progressive house and trance as his GU:013 compilation, but I reckon this mix is much better. Draws you in during the hypnotic and funky first half and then the energy really ramps up after the hour mark. Not (quite) my favourite Sasha E-mix, but a definitive statement of what he does as a DJ. |
