 black writes: the horror..
this is what radio1 gave us for new years?

they should be shot. The Judge singlehandedly delivered a timetravel which just put me now back to 96' or something, and i really didnt want to be there,..

retrospective my ass, if you want to do that, then play oldies-goldies like you acctualy know what youre doing. my winamp playlist can provide a better set if i put it on crossfade and shuffle.

scottbailey writes: wouldn't wish this set on anyone!!!
1. Why?
2. How?
3. Never Again please!!!

Candidate for worse E Mix ever in my books. Pathetic excuse for mixing, if thouse were his best tunes, i'd hate to hear his worst!!! And when he id play a respectable tune like Nalin & Kane, he had the nerve to play the chart version with the dodgy vocals on it. And there was me thinking that radio 1 would spoil us and put an extravaganza of a show on like they normally do. How wrong i was!!!! This was a real bad finish to what was a realloy gr8 year for the e-mix.

pardon the bad spellings above. You tend to miss or add unnecessary letters when you're letting off steam!!!!

 not-forgotten writes:
I can't agree more with the earlier statements. It sounds like he's grabbed a few records from home with no thought, crashed them together in a mix of which he was probably taking more time standing in the mirror working on his little poetic ryhmes he feels so justified in making everytime a mic is near him. The sad thing is, 94-96 he would have put toghter a much tighter mix - seems like he's gone backwards since he sold out ot trance!

 synkboy writes:
This mix has no flow whatsoever and the mixing is atrocious.

But some of those tunes on there partially make up for the deficiencies on the technical side of things.

I still listen to this if I want a no brainer mix if I have people over to my house and we are "burning the midnight oil" so to speak

Does the trick in a situation like that I think.

Some fantastic uplifting tracks on here especially Everytime, vernon's wonderland. Yeke yeke, kinetic, & just let go. The judge, as usual, was judging it just right.
