Unkle Sounds Outro (Acetate) |
Kicks off the year in the right way, these two do. All of the effects and samples they threw in were prefectly executed, and made everything flow quite nicely. I am waiting to find out if that Fleetwood Mac track will ever be released properly, cause it was killer, but I have a feeling I'll be let down. The Layo & Bushwacka! tune at the end, as well as Radiohead's 'Everything..' spiced it right up, as did all the Beatles references and all the older UNKLE-produced stuff. Key! |

I'm trying like hell to get ahold of the special 4 hour mix [or 3.5 hr or whatever it was] that Radio 1 aired the week following this EMix. Pete refers to it during the mix, but I never tuned in.. did anyone catch it, and if so, does anyone have that in MP3? Please let me know.

Thanks,

i didn't really like this mix the first couple of times that i heard it. i thought it had some great parts in it, but that overall it was nothing special.
after about 2 months, i gave it another listen. i was wrong. the first hour or so is just wicked. those remixes of DMX/Tears for Fears and Kraftwerk/Whitney Houston are excellent. too bad it regresses back into the same 'progressive' house kife later on.
i too would like to hear the full 4 hours. |

I got the full 3 hours and 20 minutes of this superior mix, so suprising and so diverse from classic rock to the latest of (deep) progressive
if you got the 2 hour version you really should try to get the 3 hours and 20 minutes of unkle goodness I've been listening to nothing else since I got this mix
(I wish I could get a fast connection and start my own ftp, cause everyone should hear this mix ) |

I have the internet version and it is excellent, the UNKLE project is so varied in its sound, it moves through the whole spectrum of dance music! Brilliant! |

Very good mix. Just fails to get a ten because there are patches in the second half that don't hit the high standard set by the first half. |

This mix is a pure classic!
It has a hard driving bass line throughout and it really takes you on a journey through all types of musical genres while still standing as a coherent mix.
I need to find the four hour version that this e-mix was edited from!
