Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

 dom-uk writes: Try again...
Their mix for Annie Nightingale last year was great - warm, melodic tech-house. Hopefully this will be more of the same.

 el mariachi writes:
why is it that the tune which makes the most impression is always the artist unknown track unknown white label, it has to be said that guy has put out some pretty good tunes over the years - anybody any idea what it is?

The last 'Unknown' track is there forthcoming single..

I love these colourful circulation boys and have a few of their records i like both halfs of the mix.

Recently bought their album that was out in 2000 and what a buy - look out for their next one !!

Very nice tracks! I really loved some of the tracks of the first hour. Chimera is a great opener and YBF - Dreamin' is just one of the best tracks ever. Too bad they released this track with vocals and killed the track :/

 matrix writes: A high 8
Nice mix, I liked both halves. Also quite a different sound from a lot of other EMs - well worth a listen.

 LateNite writes:
Their DJ set was a little more dark and progressive than you might expect considering some of their production work is quite, well, colourful. And that's probably the biggest difference between the halfs. Hour two has that distinct circulation sound, and the fact this was done live with a bunch of rare singles brings yet one more unique element to it all. Fantastic mix.

 mhunkantonio writes: Awesome!!
I just listened to it only today (feb 18th, 2010!!) for the first time in my life, this mix is awesome!! Wonderful progressive house! A little bit old-fashioned, but emotions never get old!!

 edzilla writes: Found track 5
Track 5 is:
Marisa Turner - What I Want (Bini Martini Hard Bass Dub) (Jellybean)

Found out the guys from Circulation sold their records to a recordshop nearby (in The Netherlands). Found some of the tracks they used for this mix as well.
Too bad they quit making music..
