Regarded by many as this year's Essential Mix of the Year... even by Tong.

Great, its individual but who will be able to go one better ?

I like this more and more each time I hear it. The contentious bit for me is the Beastie Boys track....sometimes it fits and sometimes it really sticks out horribly.

Probably the best Essential Mix I can remember, out of several hundred.

this mix is an absolute masterpiece. talk about trainspotting. danny drops a super eclectic mix with both rare and classic beats. totally blew me away. how do you throw beastie boys with patti jo and tons of other classic soul artists and with plenty of tech and house in between? i guess if you're danny howells, rules don't apply.

 madgoose writes:
The change of tempo around the 26 minute mark is superbly executed, going from some rolling drum & bass into some dubby downtempo beats. Some EMs seem to float over you a bit - with this one you find yourself paying a lot more attention to the music, testament to the programming.
