If i just heard this set without knowing when and where it was mixed at, i'd be pretty bored by it. The track selection is, for the most part, extremely overplayed, commercialized junk, however, this WAS a closing set at Space in Ibiza, at the end of summer, so, it makes sense to play a retrospective, memory provoking set with songs that were heard a million times that summer. Overall, a good job with those tracks though, a very dirty, low end sound throughout, and a brilliant finish with the U2 track. Also, the crowd noises really help this set, they were obviously really digging it. Once again, Pete Tong shines by knowing his audience, and what to play for the occasion at hand. |
