Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

Have to say, I've been clubbing since 93, and Jules used to be one of most diverse and funky Dj's. His ear for a freaky tune is unprecedented. He used to be in with Norman Jay doing Family Funktion/Rare Groove stuff in the 80's. It was only when he joined Radio one that suddenly became a corporate asslicker lick Tong and Oakey, who, by the way, are so overrated it's a joke. Oakey remixed his first tune at my mates place... Russ Abbot-I like a party with an atmosphere... My mate said Oakey was like a wet fish whn it came to personality... and as for tong...

This mix was not that bad in terms of track selection, I think his twattish reputation puts people off listening. Not one I'll go back to though.
