This just so happens to be the greatest ever mix of music in the whole history of music ever, in the whole world, and that is officially official, voted by the the world essential mix congress in early 2004.
I know 'cos I dreamt it.... but it's still true, and don't let anyone try and tell you differnet cos their fucking wrong.

 z writes: Clog Dance
Hi, DJ Futura,

The reason the clog dance apparently lacks a proper title is because it is taken from a late 18th century ballet called La Fille mal gardée. The problem with this ballet is that it is a sort of "compilation" of some 55 different French airs, adapted by an unknown author. The ballet does not even exist in a single accepted form, it has been choreographed by many different people and various versions exist in popular production.
I think Healey knows just when to throw this in at a very effective moment (especially as this was near xmas and the record has a distinctly seasonal feel.)

Here is the version of the Clog Dance that Healey used. It is performed by the Royal Opera House Orchestra. - Simone and the Clog Dance.mp3

Mixing a bit dodgy???? What a comment that is! It's absolutely flawless. The guy's mixing opera, film scores and a good varied selection of the best of the second half of 95's tunes. You need balls to produce a mix like this and hats off-it was awesome.

Mary kiani - 'I give it all' (umboza mix)
Dubstar - 'not so manic now' (way out west mix)
