Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

mcompton69 writes: The best techno DJ of all time?
I say this because his mixing skills in the half dozen mixes that I have heard from him have yet to be bettered by anyone else.

I don't think the tunes he has produced are in the same league as his mixing, although he has done some great remixes.

This is Dave Clarke's first Essential Mix for four years. If you like techno, tech house, electro or are just a budding young DJ that wants some inspiration, you wouldn't go far wrong with this guy. He might not play tunes to cater for everyone’s tastes, but his mixes are unique and exciting and that is the way to attract attention in this ever more competitive industry.

Two thumbs fresh!

 farstrider writes:
I'd have given it a 10 if the recording wasn't so muffled.

 trespass writes:
possibly not one of dave's best mixes (the 2000 one was a bomb! esp. the end) but still quality. 9!

^^^ That is a crazy bunch of tracks to drop together, how does he come up with this stuff!!! Amazing.

Huge Dave Clarke fan, I liked this mix but I find his older emixes more listenable over and over and over

Agree with trespass' comment. 2000 mix was much better with more tricks. & my message to whoever says his production isnt up 2 much : Check out ''before i was so rudely interupted''!!! BASSLINE 2 DIE FOR & no mistake

 nevans writes: dave's productions

have you listened to dave clake 'southside'
ab/dc 'the feeling'
dave clarke 'way of life'

these are all fantastic productions from Mr Clarke
Agreed that some are not to everyones taste, but dj/producers cannot satisfy everybodys taste all the time

 synkboy writes:
Not much of a techno, tech house or electro fan,
but I gotta give it to Clarke here.

His mixing and the sheer volume of tracks he gets through are amazing.

As Tong said at the start,

Not something to listen to everyday,
but something nice to play in between the mountain of house and breaks sets I listen to.

 headstrong writes:
