Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

I really love MAW's work, definetly pioneers in House etc..not one of theirbest mixes, but nice laid back grooves for the chilled peoples of the world.

 mkw-pfc writes: painful
this mix was excriciatingly bad
these guys were the business yesteryear i loved their 92 house stuff & some of their compilations were superb & production wise have done wonders for house but this offering as most of their stuff in the last few years was piss poor
the 1997 essential mix was blinding yet this was tosh a big shame

I found this a pleasant surprise after reading the previous comments, because I haven't liked MAW much before. This one I liked, apart from the last 20 minutes (the kind of anaemic house I've disliked about MAW before).

I find the 2nd hour better then the first one; the 1st is a bit too laidback for me, but on the other hand it has some real nice african tracks.
