ronennoy writes: who listens to this crap?
god the essential mix sure is getting alot of shitty artists lately. i consider the emix to be a sort of 2hour musical journey

this mix sounds like these guys snorted a few g's of amphetamine. or maybe drum and base just sucks either way? id go for the latter

 austoff writes: time gone by,
the essential mix has had its day, yeah im an old hat but the first five years were great and now all they seem to want to use the show for is broadcasting live gigs, which have always sounded shit live on air anyway.

radio one need to ditch it .

in the old days, here we go again, it was a musical journey but now , no.Those old days of listening to djs you could never otherwise hear showing their personality and style for two hours at a time in the morning when no other fool would are GONE.

now its no more than a sounbite ,am i going on?

i blame pete tong, especially judge jules and hed kandi, there you go.

pendulum was alright.......................

madgoose writes: the demise of house...
you are spot-on with the hed kandi thing. i am going to have a bit of a chomp here so i apologise if i go on.
i went to cream @ amnesia in 2001 and hed kandi were in the 2nd room. smokin' jo played a blinder of a set - dark chunky tribal beats. there was also a hed kandi set on jazz fm we would sometimes listen to post clubbing. then, as the saying goes, they sold out and turned into a full scale commercial venture. a lot of my mates would go to hed kandi every month at pacha (london) and suddenly all their cd racks were packed solid with all these various compilations.
the worst crime i have heard one a hed kandi album is the disco classic "san salvador" mixed into martin solveig's "madan"

and how many bloody remixes of "put em high" does the world need, exactly.

zangief writes: D&B is still alive
I saw a lot of crap talked about D&B and felt offended. As much as I only listen to D&B a few days out of a month essential mix seems to be getting the crap of the crop instead of the cream of the crop. Try Calibre, High Contrast, and I'm sure there are more that I don't know about--those guys are putting the 'o' in groove and producing fresh classics all around.

trance sux alot writes: the problem with pendulum is
they don't play enough american D&B....see them at a show stateside and the headz in the room are sewerplateeyed to the fullest, and they rewind nonstop like their shit don't stink. You guys need an Evol Intent EM, but, I'm not so sure that europe is ready for the sheer destructive force that is knick gigantor and the enemy. cheers

steverto writes: i like some tracks
I dont think so that they are much in american D&B but almost they are doing nice work i would collect their some songs as i get time form offering services of adult host services along with the colocation server hosting services at affordable price now i am going to start vps hosting service which are reliable and easy to use. i like most of there tracks, they are working hard
