 emotive writes: Wicked Mix
One of the better early oakie mixes from ibiza , some scorching tracks , in my opinion better than the goa mix

DEFCON1 writes: Live @ Ku Club, Ibiza
Would have to agree, this is a better mix than the Goa Mix, the second half of this mix has loads of good Trance - Oakiestyle!!!

 farnesbarnes writes: KU KU KU
This was the Perfecto party at Ku. However, this was not the full track listing that Oakey played on the night.

The atmosphere whilst he was on was subdued to say the least. So, he dropped Itty Bitty Boozy Woozy (a bit cheesy, but it got the party going).

However, it was included on this mix. Plus his mixing was suspect in club, yet on the Emix it was OK.

Shame BBC didn't record the Sasha mix. The breakdown halfway thru B-Tribe's Nanita had half the dancefloor in tears as they'd opened up the roof of the club to reveal the most star filled sky you could imagine.

Thank you Mr Coe.

fresh-house writes: Nice (but is it authentic?)
On all of the other "live" Oakenfold broadcasts his mixing is poor to say the least, yet here it is almost flawless. After reading the above I would suggest it was re-recorded in the studio, shame on you Oakie!

That aside, this is an excellent mix of some the best trance tracks around in 95. Loving You More has to be one of the finest epic house productions ever, here in it's "Garden of Ima Dub" format.

 Disco-Stu writes:
Classic Oakenfold mix, not my favourite DJ by far but the quality is there. Some of it hasn't aged well but still OK.

CheefRoberts writes: Info & Correct Track List
This mix was supposed to be recorded live from Privilege (formerly the KU club) which is the biggest club in the world. But as there are no crowd noises and the fact that some of the tracks have been edited to improve the mixing makes this mix a studio mix and not a live mix. It is sub titled Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Party, as it contains a lot of material from Oakenfold's Perfecto record label. This mix is a classic!

Here is the correct track list. The 1 posted above is correct apart from track 13. Rise - "The Single" was not in the Mix - the track is "Moods" by Desert. I have also given the remixer and mix names for your convenience for all you trainspotters out there

Part 1:
01 BT – “Tripping The Light Fantastic” (Perfecto)
02 BT – “Loving You More (BT’s Garden of Ima Dub)” (Perfecto)

07 Jam & Spoon – “Odyssey to Anyoona” (Sony)
08 Grace – “I Want To Live (Rollo & Sister Bliss Mix)” (Perfecto)
09 Crescendo – “Are You Out There (Original Mix)” (FFRR)

 z writes:
i agree that the unpredictable oakenfold mixed poorly for the majority of this set; but it was still a good selection, and he showcased a mix which subsequently became a cult favourite: prodigy's "skylined" into man with no name. A stroke of magic.

Great follow-up to the Goa mix!

 Bpotter77  writes: Perfect-o.
How can anybody call the mixing on this? It's absolutely perfect. Oakie gets compared to Sasha constantly when it comes to mixing but you couldn't get more contrasting styles. Yes Sasha can mix tracks for minutes even when the beats aren't there to match but I find his selections utterly boring and lifeless for the main part. Sasha was the best mixer of trance and dreamy house but no other DJ had access to the tunes or knew which records would work a floor like Oakenfold did. The records he produced in the studio were aimed at the floor for his sets. His own 'Orange' was converted by DJ's like Digweed who had to wait a year to get their hands on it but only Oakenfold had it to play through 1995. He used to drop it at Cream and the place went bezerk-often waiting for it throughout the whole set - knowing it was coming. Highlights of this set were BT's Tripping, a re-run of 1993's You Know by Third Eye, Orange obviously, Desert's Moods and the brilliant Biff n Memphis mix of Jimmy Sommervilles 'By Your Side'.
