Welcome to this site, here you can find the Radio One Essential Mix archives, ever since 1993 when it first broadcasted, up until today, and for the future. In time there will be features added for "artist in residence" which will be a profile of a DJ/Producer we will pick each month, and give you information about them and what they are doing now.

The page is updated by atleast a few people, so it is always up to date.

 synkboy writes:
This is awful.

Bland, shite, devoid of anything interested are some of the things I COULD say about it.

But personally I cannot think of a bad enough word or phrase to describe this garbage.

 Kara writes:
Stop saying bullshit please.

You don't like it, OK. (if u like crappy club house music for great clubber with sunglasses and Gel, it's your problem...) But don't say this mix sucks, cause it's pretty good. A little "difficult" for simple people like you maybe

 Coruco writes: Asi Es Kara...!!!

 Hillsman writes:
I'm a huge Holden fan - his Balance 005 was probably the best electronica cd to come out in the past 5 years. I still listen to his 2002 EM, which is obviously much more accessible than this latest effort.

This mix reflects more closely his latest cd release - it is a intelligent and thought provoking composition....just not particularly entertaining. I think I'll stick to Balance and his recent Global DJ Broadcast sets when I feel like my next dose of Holden.

 WelcoMatt writes: Brilliant
Thoughtful. Challenging. House meets IDM. Not for everybody, sure. But Holden is not making music for the masses, he's doing it for himself. This shines through with his track selection and style.
