 superock writes: Music's Changing
Being pretty open-minded, I liked the mix. It was like a smarter "party" mix, cut/mashed up in a way "hotmixes" were done when house music first came out.

I'm a bit sick of the, now ,"traditional" inaccessible nuanced prog / tech house / minimal tech / breaks mixes that have been played for AGES.

This is just something that's fun with tons of true classics that you can actually imagine hot girls getting down to, instead of just a bunch of geeky guys bobbing their heads, as usual.

 gill1970 writes: I agree
with Superock. This reminds me a little of the late eighties early nineties mixes i used to listen to. (Bad Boy Bill and Sasha spun this!!) Nice to see some change on the Essential mix...

 JasonB writes:
Nice to finally hear a mark Ronson Dj set, reminds me of yoda, good time party set, love it!

 ivc writes:
this is not your regular essential mix, more like a happy minimix / dj yoda style, as mentioned, type of a mix. like it though.

As Pasty As They Wanna Be writes: Rubbish
A rubbish "mix" from a proper rubbish "artist " / "producer".

Sort of adds up if up if you think about it.

 Infrared writes: Open your eyes!!
Well some people need to open their ears! Can't believe some are giving this zero just because it aint minimal/prog/trance/whatever. This is a good fun mix and a lot more enjoyable than 2 hours of stuff that sounds practically the like same tune looped forever. It's a ten for me..

 Matthew writes:
Some really small-minded comments on this one. I'm not even going to try and correct them, live free in your ignorance, I'll enjoy this brilliant mix of un-pretentious party hip-hop and almost big beat...possibly my favourite mix since the Switch one.

 tgross79 writes:
"small minded" "ignorance" what are you writing a paper on racism and somehow listened to this mix and decided to use those words? I'm not small minded, i dig shadow, cut chemist hell i even think dj am everyonce and a while can mix some shit...but this fucking sucked. If i want hip hop or badly mixed hip hop ill go to any trendy bar in nyc and listen to it while i drink 15 dollar vodka tonics....this is Radio 1, they set the bar up high, and my friends, i feel dumber after I listened to this mix.

 CerealKiller writes:
It still didn't deserve a zero. Get off your high horse you music Nazi!

The guy just released the first ever Bob Dylan remix and this mix contained a large set of his own remixes and productions.

Plus it was an enjoyable 2 hour party mix. Just because you don't like the style doesn't mean it had no talent.
